Justin Rhoads, a lifelong resident of the San Luis Valley, began his journey in the drilling industry at the tender age of 15 in 1986. Alongside his grandfather, he gained hands-on experience operating a cable tool rig to supply water to their family farm. After a brief stint at Northeastern Junior College, Justin returned to the valley and embarked on a career in construction, operating heavy equipment. A pivotal moment arrived when he was mentored by one of the region’s most skilled drillers.
Pamela Rhoads is a seasoned business professional with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Raised in the San Luis Valley, she attended Adams State University, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, emphasizing Management and minoring in Marketing.
Throughout her career, Pamela has successfully balanced family life and professional pursuits. While raising four children, she has owned and operated multiple businesses, including Pavati Pumps, and Drilling. She has also contributed her expertise to larger organizations. Pamela recently retired from Xcel Energy after 15 years. As a Design Technician, at Xcel Energy, Pamela engineered gas and electric services throughout the San Luis Valley and Salida.
In 2013, Justin and Pamela took a significant step by founding Pavati Pumps and Drilling. By leveraging his in-depth knowledge of the San Luis Valley aquifer and extensive drilling experience, and her business acumen, they have propelled Pavati Pumps and Drilling to significant success.
